Pollinator Bioblitz

Bioblitz is back for our third year of celebrating pollinators in South Portland. Join us at Hinckley Park to create pollinator art, help contribute to citizen science, and learn all about the importance of the amazing creatures who work so hard for South Portland’s ecosystems. Special guests from the South Portland Land Trust, South Portland Library, The Honey Exchange, and Maine Audubon will have tables set up with information and activities.

When: Saturday, September 21st, 10am-12pm

What will you do while there?

  • collect data on pollinators using the iNaturalist app

  • learn about native pollinators

  • learn about pollinator friendly plants

  • create pollinator art

  • meet some live honey bees

  • see a monarch story walk

  • hike and learn fun pollinator facts


Pollinator Bioblitz allows us to come together as a community and collect crucial data on the pollinators that make our town so special, and we can't do it without your help!

Carpooling is advised as parking will be limited.
