Breathing by the sea - surfing the waves of your life with mindful breathing
Fisherman’s Point, South Portland
Life can be like the ocean. Waves can tumble us about. Mindful breathing can be an anchor and a refuge when the waves of our lives are stormy. When we focus our awareness on the breath in a totally immersed way, we cultivate the experience of inner peace that we can always return to.
Yoga instructor Susannah Sanfilippo will help us explore our breathing habits by feeling what is actually happening in the body. She'll also share with us ways to create well-functioning breathing to help regulate the swirling waves of our mind.
Wear layers. Bring something to sit on, such as a blanket or chair.
