It's not too late to enjoy the un-snowy outdoors this season! Join us for some fresh air and do-gooding with a trail maintenance project at Trout Brook Nature Preserve in South Portland. Afterwards we'll hangout at nearby Mast Landing for a drink. Otto's pizza is also a block away if anyone wants to bring food to the brewery.
We will be helping folks from the South Portland Land Trust to spread a large pile of wood chips before it gets too cold and snowy. No skill or experience is needed for this project. This will help their effort with staving off invasive bittersweet and multiflora rose on the trail.
Meet us at 11am at the Providence Ave trailhead (where Providence Ave and Marsh Rd meet - google map here). There's a small area to park and plenty of street parking during the day. Wear warm clothes, gloves, and comfortable walking/hiking shoes! We'll work on the trail for 1.5-2hr before taking off to Mast Landing.
Please sign up through the Meetup.com link so that we can accurate information on attendance.
